There are no known environmental factors associated with Brain Tumours. Exposure to vinyl chloride and ionizing radiation has been observed to cause brain cancer. Genetically, mutations and deletions of tumour suppressor genes such as P53 is the reason for some cases of brain tumours. Some of the inherited conditions that can develop in brain cancer are Von Hippel–Lindau disease, multiple endocrine neoplasia, neurofibromatosis type 2. Radiation from mobile phones has not been directly linked with brain tumours but WHO has classified such radiation as- possibly carcinogenic.
